Boundary Reviews in Blaenau Gwent – First Steps Toward a Town Council for Ebbw Vale
I’m delighted to share some exciting news about our ongoing efforts to establish a Town Council for Ebbw Vale.
Last week, we heard from the electoral service officer, who explained that the very first step in the process will be a boundary review. This review is necessary to look at the current wards and the number of councillors serving them, helping us to create a fair, balanced, and unified approach to local governance.
For me, this is a really important milestone. I’ve long believed that a Town Council will give the residents of Ebbw Vale a stronger voice, more democratic representation, and greater accountability on the decisions that affect our everyday lives. The boundary review is the foundation that will allow us to get this right from the very start.
I want to sincerely thank the officers at Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council for their ongoing support with this project. Their advice and commitment have been vital as we begin this journey.
This is just the beginning, but it’s a big step forward. I’ll continue to keep you updated as the process develops, and I look forward to working with residents across Ebbw Vale to make our Town Council a reality.
Ebbw Vale deserves a strong, local voice – and together, we’re making it happen.
